The Belgian Waffle Ride, which consists of 134 miles (217 kilometers), 12,000 feet of climbing, 13 categorized climbs, and 15 dirt sectors totaling 46 miles, is not for the faint of heart. With the strongest field in the race’s 8 year history (including WorldTour riders on their way to the Tour of California later this month), this year will be brutal. We’ll be bringing 2 man small squad to Belgian Waffle Ride this year with Brady Reed and Patrick Mannon. Look for the team to tackle some additional gravel races later in the year as the cycling landscape in the U.S. changes. The team will tackle these adventure races on our custom built Giant Revolts from Bicycle World (look for a post soon detailing these builds)!

Brady Reed, who recently podiumed at the Tour of Corsicana (3rd ITT and 5th GC), has also played a key supporting role in team wins at Lago Vista and BS Bike Race. After Belgian Waffle Ride Brady will turn his focus to the Texas State Time Trial Championships (where he finished 3rd last year) and Tulsa Tough (2nd place finish on Cry Baby Hill in 2018).

Patrick Mannon started off the season strong with rides in the breakaway at Pace Bend and Texas State (Collegiate) road races but has had a few setbacks in the few weeks due to injury and illness. Look for Patrick to bounce back later in the year, with his eye on the Elite National Individual Time Trial and Gravel Worlds in August.
